Indraw Notebook operates under the following editorial principles: articles are reviewed by at least one second editor before publication, sources are cited where appropriate, corrections are noted publicly, and writers disclose any commercial relationships that could influence their selection of subject matter.
Observation & Field Notes
Writers at Indraw Notebook gather observations over a sustained period before shaping an article. A season of cooking. A training cycle. A period of deliberate attention to a specific food habit. Notes are kept as a journal, and articles emerge from that archive rather than from a predetermined editorial brief.
This approach produces writing that is grounded in actual experience rather than theoretical instruction. It also means that the rhythm of publication is slow — articles appear when they are ready, not when a content schedule demands them.
Source Selection & Standards
Articles in Indraw Notebook reference published research from peer-reviewed journals and reputable institutional sources. Editorial selection prioritises long-running studies and replicated findings. Where a claim cannot be supported by a credible source, it is either attributed clearly as personal observation or removed.
Writers do not cite sources in the academic sense — footnotes and reference lists would change the register of the writing in ways that would make it less readable. Instead, claims are moderated at the editorial stage and attributed plainly in the text where appropriate. The underlying sources are available upon request via the editorial office.
Editorial Review
Every article submitted to Indraw Notebook is reviewed by a second editor before publication. The review focuses on three areas: factual accuracy (claims are checked against sourced material), register accuracy (the writing does not drift into instructive or instructional language), and subject relevance (the article contributes something to the publication's defined subject range rather than duplicating existing entries).
The review process is not rapid. Articles typically pass through at least one round of editorial notes before reaching the published version. Where disagreements between writer and editor cannot be resolved, the article is not published.
Corrections Policy
Factual errors identified after publication are corrected promptly and noted publicly within the article. The correction is dated and describes what was changed and why. Indraw Notebook does not silently amend published content — all post-publication changes are noted.
Correction requests can be submitted via the contact form, selecting "Correction Request" as the subject. The editorial team aims to respond to all correction requests within five working days.
Transparency & Independence
Indraw Notebook is an independent editorial publication. It is not affiliated with any food brand, supplement producer, or wellness company. Writers are required to disclose any commercial relationships — including sponsored content, brand partnerships, or advisory roles — that could influence their selection of subject matter.
Where affiliate links appear (links that may generate a small commission if a reader follows them), these are labelled clearly within the relevant article. Affiliate relationships do not influence editorial selection — no article is commissioned on the basis of a commercial arrangement, and no product is featured as a direct result of a commercial relationship.
